Separate what screens cannot

Traditional screens separate primarily by width and thickness. Length separators add another level of precision by distinguishing material according to length.

As product moves through the rotating indented cylinder, material that fits into the cylinder’s pockets is lifted and separated from material that remains in the main product flow. This makes the process particularly useful for removing impurities or crop material that is shorter or longer than the desired product.

Short product, long product, or both

Westrup indented cylinders can be configured to remove short material, long material, or both, depending on the cylinder arrangement.

Each pass through an indented cylinder produces two fractions. Multiple cylinders can be combined or stacked to increase capacity or create additional length-based fractions, allowing the system to be tailored to the specific crop and processing objective.
